2025 Initiation

Phi Kappa Phi at the Honors College Fall Festival 2025

Faculty Officer Jean Cook welcomed new invitees and talked to over seventy honors students at the Honors College Fall Festival on October 13, 2025.  Invitees are encouraged to explore Phi Kappa Phi's generous awards programs and great networking opportunities!

Phi Kappa Phi Welcomes author Terah Shelton Harris

In Spring 2025, Phi Kappa Phi Chapter 150 welcomed author Terah Shelton Harris to campus as part of the county's Community Reads programmng.  Terah read from her book One Summer in Savannah, answered questions about her writing process, and gave a lecture on publishing in modern day mass media.

New Member Highlight - Lauryn King

 

Lauryn is a University of West Georgia graduate student in the Nursing Education program. She anticipates completing her degree in May 2024. Lauryn is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and Phi Kappa Phi.

Chapter Award

Phi Kappa Phi Chapter 150 was recognized for their 2022 Phi Kappa Phi Week activities, including a large display in the library and volunteer efforts with the Honors College.

Phi Kappa Phi Week 2022

In honor of Phi Kappa Phi Week 2022, the UWG chapter built a large display in the campus library.

We also co-sponsored a charity event with the Honors College to make valentine's day cards for the homeless and hospitalized children.

Literacy and Beyond Conference

In Spring 2018, Phi Kappa Phi sponsored our members attendance at the Literacy and Beyond Conference on campus at the University of West Georgia.  Featuring award-winning author Kate Klise, teacher, student teachers, and teacher educators examing literacy and how it looks in the classroom and every day world.
