Career Readiness Through Experiential Learning

Discover library resources to help you prepare for your career and develop important job skills.

Benefits of Undergraduate Research

The University of West Georgia supports its entire student body in their education and exploration of new fields.  Research, whether it is graduate student completely a dissertation or an undergraduate completing their capstone project or student work assignments, allows individuals to contribute the evolution of their practice and global scholarly communication on their interests.  In particular, it can help students develop career competencies such as Critical Thinking, Communication, Teamwork, Professionalism, and Technology.

The University of West Georgia and the state provide many opportunities for students to engage in undergraduate research as well as present their findings.  Many on-campus organizations like honor societies and different departments also have grants to help students complete or share their work.
