Although a small number of Georgia and Alabama maps continue to be maintained in the traditional paper format, the newest topographic maps are available only as PDFs through The National Map, an official website of the United States Geological Survey.
Historic maps are also available as PDFs through The National Map; however, ArcGIS maintains a more dynamic webpage that allows users to overlay previous editions of topographic maps, in order to view changes to a particular area over time.
