Finding Books

Books are available through several ways at Ingram Library:

1) the UWG Library Catalog lists resources within Ingram Library;

2) the GIL Universal Catalog lists resources within the many libraries in the University System of Georgia.  From this webpage, use the drop-down box to change from UWG to USG resources.

3) any book not available through the services above can be requested through Resource Sharing.  You might also use WorldCat to locate books available at libraries all over the world, then use our ILLiad system to request them;

4) electronic books are available through the catalog.  Just click on the link in the catalog for the book you want to view online immediately.  Note that in addition to the electronic resources you'll find in the UWG catalog, search the USG catalog to get even more e-resources!

The Society for Ethnomusicology offers a handy pocket-sized guide called A Manual for Documentation, Fieldwork, and Preservation for Ethnomusicologists, ed. by Janet Topp Fargion.  It is $6 for SEM members and $12 for non-members.  See the Society's website for ordering information, or request it via Interlibrary Loan.
