The ground floor of Ingram Library is home to:
Special Collections & Research Room- where you can find primary sources on university history, Georgia's political history, and the history and culture of the West Georgia region. More information here, and access to digitized resources.
Center for Public History- where the university's public history program researches, documents, preserves, and promotes public discussion of the history and cultural, architectural, and folklife resources of the broader west Georgia region. More information here.
Thomas Murphy reading room- a replica of former Speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives Tom Murphy's office.

Just inside the main entrance, you'll find:
Circulation- library materials, equipment, and spaces check out.
Tech West- student information technology services can assist in resolving software and hardware issues on personal computers.
The Nook- seating and tables for individual and group work.
Study Areas & Computers- PC workstations are available in the "open computer lab."

Beginning in Fall 2023 the second floor is now the "quiet floor", and must be silent at all times. Here you'll find:

The Art Gallery where the UWG Art Department features an ongoing series of exhibits highlighting student art.
