Library Orientation Libguide

Course Reserves

Your instructors may place materials for your course "on reserve" for a limited checkout period. Most reserves are loaned for 2 to 4 hours and cannot leave the library. In addition to materials specified by your instructor, you can also check out laptops, headphones, dry erase markers, calculators, and (if you are studying with at least one other person) study room keys.

Please note that the library loans hard copies only; online resources are not placed on reserve.

Is My Textbook at the Library?

If you would like to see if the Library has the textbook for your course, check library course reserves. You can search by instructor, course number, or course name.

Also please note:

  • The Library does not buy textbooks for all University courses.
  • To identify other editions of the book, search the library catalog by title and author, not just ISBN.
