Hooks Collection

The Hooks Collection is a 1,600-volume library of 19th and 20th century books covering subjects such as life after death, extra sensory perception, out-of-body experiences, apparitions and altered states of consciousness.  It belonged to David Wayne Hooks and was acquired by Special Collections in assocation with the Psychical Research Foundation.

How to Use the Hooks Collection

Hooks Books are found in the catalog just like any other books in the library.  If you find a book or books that will help with your research, you won't be able to check it out, but don't let that stop you from using these interesting books!  Special Collections will be happy to let you read them in their research room.

You can visit Special Collections weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., either using the elevator or taking the marble staircase down off the main lobby. It is advisable to call ahead to schedule a research visit. Please call 678-839-6361 for more information.
