Welcome
LIBR1101 (Academic Research and the Library) is a two-hour credit course taught by the instruction librarians. The class is open to all undergraduates and fulfills section B2 of the core curriculum. Each fall and spring, the library offers online and classroom sections of the course. For more information, click the tabs above.
Classroom sections meet in the library. Online sections generally meet only once at the beginning of the semester, though some professors may require additional visits to the library for assignments. Students in online sections will need regular access to an Internet-capable computer.

Orientation Sessions (Required for Online Students)
Students in online sections are required to attend one of the following hour-long orientations in the library. Each class is different.
It is strongly recommended you attend the orientation session run by your professor. However, if you are unable to attend a session presented by your instructor, you may attend another session and contact your instructor directly afterward to get further details about your specific class. Each session, approximately 1 hour in length, covers logging into your WebCT account, includes general information about the Library WebCT course, and offers you the opportunity to ask questions.
