American Choral Directors Association (ACDA): A nonprofit music-education organization whose purpose is to promote excellence in choral music via performance, composition, publication, research, and teaching.

American Federation of Musicians: The largest organization in the world representing the interests of professional musicians.

American Music Center, The: Provides programs and services for composers of contemporary classical and jazz music.

American Musicological Society: The current web location for the American Musicological Association.

American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP): Music membership association of composers, songwriters, lyricists, and music publishers of every kind of music.

Atlanta Federation of Musicians: Website of Local 148-462 of the American Federation of Musicians.

International Society for Music Education: Promotes music education world-wide with members in over 60 countries.

Internet Resources for Music Scholars: Links to the music library at Harvard University.

MENC: The National Association for Music Education: Advances music education by encouraging the study and making of music by all.

MusicalOnline: An online directory of classical competitions, festivals, and academic research resources.

Music Publishers' Association: Formed to support and advance compliance with the copyright law, combat copyright infringement, and explore the need for further reform.

National Music Foundation: Not-for-profit organization dedicated to American music and its advancement in music education. Includes programs, aims and application information.

Percussive Arts Society: A professional organization promoting information, communication and education for the percussion community.

Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA): Works to protect intellectual property rights worldwide and the First Amendment rights of artists; conducts consumer, industry and technical research; and monitors, reviews, and influences state and federal laws, regulations, and policies.

Society for Ethnomusicology: Promotes the research, study, and performance of music in all historical periods and cultural contexts.

World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles: International organization of wind band conductors, composers, performers, publishers, teachers, instrument makers and friends of wind music.
