Welcome to the University of West Georgia! This guide is designed to help you with some of the logistics of moving here.

The contents of this guide have been suggested by UWG faculty and staff. These are not official endorsements or recommendations. Private individuals and area businesses will only be listed if recommended by a UWG employee.

This site is not affiliated  with or representative of the administration of the University of West Georgia or the University System of Georgia, its Board of Regents, or the state government of Georgia.

Some UWG faculty and staff choose to live in Carrollton while others choose nearby cities or towns. Some stay within Carroll County and others commute from as far as away as the greater Atlanta metro area.  The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce has information about Carroll County cities and towns. You can also request a print relocation guide.  Neighboring Douglas County's Chamber of Commerce provides information about communities in that county. As UWG increases its presence in Newnan, some UWG employees are choosing to live in Coweta County. The Coweta County Chamber of Commerce will be useful for those individuals.

Carrollton has a growing arts scene and a vibrant downtown. Carrollton Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts lists the events and opportunities to participate in these activities. Carrollton Main Street provides information about events downtown including the concerts and movies scheduled in the Amp at Adamson Square.

The default for the tabs is Carroll County unless otherwise indicated.
